Job Purpose

The Facilities Lead is responsible for overseeing the school’s facilities and supporting the phased renovation and construction of the campus from the pre-opening stage through ongoing school operations. This role acts as the school’s on-site representative to coordinate renovation and construction activities, ensuring that works are delivered according to agreed timelines, quality standards, and safety requirements. The Facilities Lead also ensures that the school environment remains safe, functional, and operationally ready during both the initial campus set-up and subsequent development phases.

Key Responsibilities

1. Facilities & Campus Operations

 - Oversee the day-to-day management of school facilities to ensure the campus environment is safe, clean, and well maintained.

 - Monitor building infrastructure, utilities, and facility systems to ensure proper functioning and operational readiness.

 - Identify facility-related issues and coordinate timely repairs or improvements.

2. Phased Construction & Renovation Oversight

 - Support the Operations Manager in overseeing phased renovation and construction works on campus.

 - Act as the school’s on-site contact point for contractors and project teams during construction and renovation activities.

 - Monitor construction progress and report on timelines, potential risks, and issues that may affect project delivery.

 - Ensure that renovation works are carried out in accordance with approved plans and school operational requirements.

3. Contractor & Vendor Coordination

 - Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and service providers involved in renovation, installation, and facilities services.

 - Monitor contractor performance to ensure work quality, compliance with specifications, and adherence to project schedules.

 - Assist in resolving operational or site-related issues that may arise during construction phases.

4. Health, Safety & Risk Management

 - Ensure that all construction and facilities activities comply with health and safety regulations.

 - Monitor site safety practices to ensure a safe environment for staff, visitors, and contractors.

 - Identify potential safety risks related to campus infrastructure and construction works and coordinate mitigation actions.

5. Campus Readiness & Set-up

 - Support the preparation of classrooms, offices, and shared facilities to ensure readiness for school opening and subsequent operational phases.

 - Coordinate installations of equipment, furniture, and facility systems where required.

6. Maintenance Collaboration

- Work closely with the Maintenance Lead to ensure the effective implementation of maintenance and repair activities across the campus.

 - Support the planning and coordination of preventive maintenance programs to ensure facilities remain safe, functional, and well maintained.

 - Monitor maintenance needs related to infrastructure, building systems, and utilities, and coordinate with the Maintenance Lead to address issues in a timely manner.

7. Future Facilities Team Supervision

 Support the recruitment, supervision, and coordination of maintenance and facilities staff as the school expands.

Yêu Cầu Công Việc

Requirements:

- Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture.

- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Facilities Management, Building Operations or Construction Site Management.

- Prior experience in school environments with a strong grasp of Health & Safety standards is preferred.

- Strong understanding of construction methods, site management and have strong problemsolving skills.

- Vendor Management: Proven track record in sourcing, negotiating, and supervising third-party contractors.

- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PPT) and technical drawing software, with AutoCAD being mandatory.

- Proven ability to manage end-to-end project timelines and deliver construction/renovation projects on schedule and within budget.
