As the Finance Business Partner Team Lead, you will serve as the primary analytical bridge between Finance and the Commercial, Supply Chain, and E-commerce functions. Your core focus is to maintain robust tracking and reporting frameworks, conduct deep-dive financial analysis, propose data-backed recommendations and continuously partner with different stakeholders to enhance profitability and operational efficiency across all business pillars.
A. Commercial Finance Partnering
Partner with the Merchandising teams by maintaining financial governance, providing visibility and insightful recommendations for margin performance
- Margin Monitoring: Track and analyze Sales-to-GM performance, highlighting trends and alerting stakeholders to margin leakage
- Pricing & Promotion: Facilitate the financial side of omni-channel pricing, promotion planning, including execution tracking and claim-back process
- Investment Analysis: Provide detailed analysis on promotion ROI and Gross-to-Net (GTN) impact to help refine future commercial spend
- Trading Term Governance: Monitor the planning & negotiation of trading terms; ensure the timeliness of term finalization at the desired level and recognition of the new agreement
- Profitability Insights: Analyze margin (front, back and gross margin) health at the Category, Brand, SKU and Channel level, identifying opportunities for portfolio optimization
B. Supply Chain Finance & Operations Partnering
Partner with the Supply Chain and Operations teams to ensure inventory health, logistics cost-efficiency, and successful project execution
- Demand Planning & Stock Management: Align purchase planning with forecasted sales to ensure inventory levels are optimized for both availability and working capital efficiency
- Warehouse & Logistic Efficiency: Maintain ongoing tracking of warehouse & logistics costs while developing a thorough understanding of operational workflows to identify and suggest specific optimization areas
- Project & Initiative Partnering: Provide financial insights and evaluations for new operational projects, such as warehouse expansions, fixed asset procurement, and automation investments
C. E-commerce P&L management
Collaborate with the Online team to track performance and leverage omni-channel advantages to drive integrated business growth
- Platform Performance Deep-dive: Deliver granular financial insights by platforms, identify specific growth drivers and performance variances from top-line to bottom-line
- Online Pricing & Promotion Monitoring: Oversee the monitoring of online channel pricing strategies and promotional execution to ensure financial targets are met
- Online Cost Stewardship: Conduct rigorous monitoring of online-specific costs, including platform fees, digital marketing spend, and last-mile delivery expenses
- Profitability & Omni-channel Synergy: Evaluate the overall profitability of the online channel, including analysis of the synergy and integration between online activities and offline store performance
D. Reporting & Planning Excellence
- Dashboard: Coordinate the creation and maintenance of relevant business dashboards that provide stakeholders with timely performance insights
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Play an active role in the annual budget and periodic forecasting cycles, ensuring the accuracy of data inputs and logic as well as underlying business decisions are well-documented
