Furniture Merchandising & Sourcing Executive

Job Summary:

The Merchandiser is responsible for sourcing and developing suppliers, obtaining quotations, following up on sample development, and managing the entire order process from start to finish. This role works directly with factories and closely coordinates with Sales, Technical, and QC teams to ensure products meet customer requirements in terms of quality, pricing, and delivery timeline

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sourcing & Supplier Management

• Source, evaluate, and develop suitable suppliers and factories, including assessing production capabilities, quality management systems, and compliance standards.
• Obtain quotations, analyze costs, and support supplier negotiations.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term supplier relationships.

2. Sample Management & Product Development

• Follow up on sample development and product improvement.
• Coordinate sample revisions and approvals, ensuring accurate communication between suppliers and internal departments.

3. Order Execution & Follow-up

• Place orders with suppliers and confirm pricing, lead time, and technical requirements.
• Monitor production progress and resolve quality or delivery issues.
• Coordinate with Sales, QC, Technical, and suppliers to ensure smooth order execution.

4. Reporting & Business Support

• Monitor market trends, sourcing opportunities, and order performance; prepare related reports.
• Support business growth by expanding the supplier network.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related fields.

• At least 2 years of experience in sourcing and order follow-up in the furniture industry (mandatory).

• Experience working directly with factories, with the ability to source and evaluate suppliers.

• Strong communication and negotiation skills with suppliers/factories.

• Ability to work independently and handle tasks end-to-end.

• High sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.

• Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel).

• Willing to travel to factories when required.
