Job summary:
Performing full-cycle general accounting functions including general ledger maintenance, month-end, quarterly-end and year-end closing, and financial reporting under VAS and IFRS
Managing operation costs, vendor reconciliation, cash and banking transactions, tax compliance, and supporting internal/external audits
Preparing periodic management reports, supporting budgeting processes, and coordinating cross-departmentally to drive financial accuracy and insights
Supporting and training Finance & Accounting team members during daily operations as equired
Responsibilities & Duties:
Operation Cost & Vendor Reconciliation
- Reconcile vendor accounts and book intransit goods to reflect true inventory costs at period-end; ensure landed costs (CIF, customs duties, freight) are correctly allocated.
- Manage multi-currency accounts payable for both domestic and international suppliers; coordinate with Purchasing and Logistics to resolve discrepancies.
Cash & Banking
- Verify cash and bank transactions including supporting documents; check and confirm cash count and bank reconciliations.
- Monitor loan balances and interest calculations to ensure they are recorded correctly in Navision.
General Ledger & Period Closing
- Review and run COGS module for all SKUs for month-end closing process.
- Manage fixed assets register (additions, disposals, depreciation) covering offices, warehouses, and branch facilities.
- Book payroll entries accurately, including salaries, allowances, and statutory deductions; record accrued expenses on a timely basis.
- Maintain general ledger in compliance with VAS; perform month-end, quarterly-end and year-end closing — journal entries, accruals, prepaid amortization, and reconciliations.
Taxation, Statutory Compliance & Audit
- Oversee monthly tax declarations: VAT, Special Consumption Tax (SCT), PIT, Foreign Contractor Tax (FCT), and other relevant taxes.
- Handle all tax matters proactively; liaise with tax authorities as required and maintain complete, organized supporting documentation.
- Monitor adherence to internal control policies across payments, inventory valuation, and expense approvals; identify gaps and recommend improvements.
- Support interim and year-end external audits — prepare schedules, reconciliations, and documentation; act as liaison for the audit team.
Reporting, Budgeting & Others
- Prepare periodic financial and management reports for both VAS & IFRS packages; provide reconciliations, analysis, and reliable insights for management.
- Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Purchasing, Logistics, and HR to support annual budget preparation; monitor budget performance and report variances by month and YTD.
- Support and train F&A team during daily operations when needed.
- Other tasks assigned by Line Manager and BOD.
