GENERAL ACCOUNTANT

The General Accountant is responsible for overseeing full-spectrum general accounting activities with a strong focus on tax compliance and advisory. This role ensures compliance with Vietnamese regulations and internal/group policies while acting as a subject matter expert in tax-related matters.

Key Responsibilities

I. ACCOUNTING (70%):

A. General Accounting & Finance:

• Handle full sets of accounts including GL, AR, AP, Fixed Assets, accruals, and provisions
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with VAS (IFRS is a plus)
• Perform month-end closing activities accurately and within deadlines
• Reconcile accounting data across systems (ERP, Data Warehouse, Excel reports, etc.)
• Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances
• Support internal and external audits, including preparation of required documentation
• Review contract

B. Tax Management & Reporting:

• Expert to prepare and submit tax declarations on government systems: VAT, CIT, PIT, FCT
• Handle annual tax finalization and work directly with tax authorities.
• Monitor and update new tax regulations (Decrees, Circulars) and assess their impact annually.
• Review invoices and supporting documents to ensure tax compliance
• Identify tax risks and propose optimization solutions
• Provide tax advisory support to internal stakeholders (contracts, expenses, payments, etc.)
• Prepare & submit all Vietnamese statutory reports for an FDI Company.

C. Other ad-hoc tasks as assigned

II. ADMIN (30%):

• Willing to contribute and participate in some Admin activities
• Other ad-hoc tasks as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields

•  5 -7 years of experience in general accounting & finance

• Solid experience in tax (VAT, CIT, PIT, FCT) is required

• Good command of English (both written and spoken)

• Experience in multinational companies or adversting agency  is a plus

• Chief accountant certificate is a plus

• Have experience in legal or commercial finance is a plus
