Plan, monitor, and supervise the technical condition, repairs, maintenance, preservation, docking, class surveys, and other technical matters of vessels.
Process technical reports from vessels, analyze root causes of defects, and provide guidance to vessels for corrective actions.
Coordinate with Procurement to verify technical specifications, maker/model, critical spare parts, and technical service requirements.
Coordinate with QHSE and DPA when technical incidents affect safety, environment, class/statutory requirements, or SMS/ISM compliance.
Conduct periodic technical inspections according to approved plans and forms.
Review and check monthly reports from the engine department.
Report to the Fleet Manager on matters within the scope of assigned duties; simultaneously notify DPA promptly of issues affecting SMS/ISM, vessel operational safety, pollution prevention, incidents, serious defects, or non-conformities.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Fleet Manager in accordance with functions and responsibilities.
Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or equivalent
With experience as Technical Superintendent or in a similar role in shipping/transport industry.
Strong knowledge of vessel operations, maintenance systems, and maritime regulations.
Valid COC (Chief Engineer / Second Engineer) preferred.
Good analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
Willing to travel when required.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Proficient in English (reading technical documents and writing reports).
