Innovation Lab Engineer

1. Job Overview:

The Innovation Lab Engineer is responsible for conducting material and product testing to ensure compliance with company standards and customer requirements. This role supports material and product development, quality control, and failure analysis through accurate testing and reporting.

2. Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct physical and chemical testing on materials, components, and finished footwear.

• Prepare test samples according to standard testing procedures.

• Operate laboratory equipment such as FTIR, Instron, DSC, DMA, and other testing machines.

• Perform cutting, disassembly, and analysis for competitor benchmarking.

• Analyze test results and prepare test reports for internal teams and customers.

• Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.

• Support engineering and development teams in material evaluation and product validation.

• Assist in troubleshooting product or material issues through testing and analysis.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment.

• Follow laboratory safety procedures and company policies.

• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Lab Supervisor or Lab Manager.

3. Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Experience in laboratory testing or material testing in footwear industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as Instron, FTIR, or similar testing machines is an advantage.
• Good English reading and writing skills for technical documents and reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
