Different projects and squads may focus on different technical domains. Candidates with strengths in relevant areas will be considered for suitable engineering teams across our banking technology ecosystem.
1. Analytical Rigor & Process Design
- Process Mastery: Deep experience in mapping complex banking workflows. You are proficient in visualizing processes using BPMN and sequence diagrams.
- Documentation Excellence: Proven ability to produce clear, structured documentation (Solution Specs, User Stories, API Contracts). You prioritize clarity and "testability" in your requirements.
- Problem Decomposition: Ability to break down complex financial problems (e.g., cross-border settlement, payment orchestration) into manageable, technically feasible requirements.
2. Banking & Integration Domain
- Payment Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of domestic payment schemes (Napas 247, QR Code, ECOM) and international payment standards.
- API Fluency: Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, OpenAPI 3.0 specifications, and API-Led connectivity. You can read technical API documentation and participate in designing API contracts.
- Integration Mindset: Experience navigating the complexities of Core Banking systems, Payment Hubs, and third-party payment gateways.
3. Workflow & Collaboration
- Lifecycle Management: Proficiency with Jira/Redmine to track requirements, manage Change Requests (CR), and coordinate with development/QA teams throughout the SDLC.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical business users, and conversely, represent business needs to engineering teams.
4. Strategic & "Plus" Skills
- Technical Leadership: Ability to drive architectural discussions, challenge legacy assumptions, and mentor junior team members.
- Continuous Learning: A proactive mindset to keep pace with evolving fintech trends (e.g., Open Banking, AI-driven financial services).
- AI-SDLC: Experience leveraging AI tools (e.g., for automated documentation, test case generation, or requirement analysis) in daily workflows.
5. Core Competencies & Professional Background
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience as a Business Analyst in the Finance/Banking sector.
- Educational Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Finance/Banking.
- Technical Literacy: Understanding of Microservices architecture and how business requirements impact system design and performance.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ability to ensure that all proposed technical solutions remain strictly within the bounds of legal and banking regulations.
Bonus points for:
Direct experience in Open Banking, API Gateway, or Payment Hub project implementations.
Experience in designing systems for high-traffic, real-time transaction environments.
Practical knowledge of software testing methodologies and UAT management tools.
