Electrical Engineer (Solar, Bess, RTS & Microgrid)

Job Summary

INS Energy is seeking an experienced Solar Design Engineer with a strong background in industrial electrical systems and renewable energy. This role will be responsible for performing electrical calculations, system simulations, and engineering designs for solar power systems, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and other advanced energy solutions, ensuring optimal performance and power quality for industrial and commercial (C&I) clients.

Job Description

- Conduct site assessments, system analysis, and technical evaluations of existing electrical systems to ensure successful integration of Solar Rooftop, BESS, and other emerging energy solutions.

- Perform electrical calculations, simulations, and optimization studies, including power quality analysis, capacitor bank systems, harmonic filtering, energy metering, and load analysis.

- Design and simulate Solar Rooftop solutions for commercial and industrial (C&I) customers, ensuring technical feasibility and operational efficiency.

- Perform calculations, simulations, and performance evaluations for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) applications, including Demand Management, PV + BESS, and Energy Arbitrage.

- Research, evaluate, and support the implementation of advanced energy technologies such as Microgrid, Smart Grid, Virtual Power Plant (VPP), and EV Charging Stations.

- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to propose suitable technical solutions while keeping up to date with the latest developments in energy technologies and power quality management.

- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, particularly in system calculation and design.

- Experience in solar energy projects is an advantage.

- Strong understanding of medium-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems.

- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret load reports, power quality reports, and industrial electrical/control & instrumentation drawings.

- Good command of English, with the ability to read and understand technical documentation.

Working hours: Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (with a 30-minute flexible break in the morning)

Saturday: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Worked every other week and freestyle clothing)
