The Junior Substation Design Engineer will support Senior Electrical Specialists and Project Managers in the delivery of substation upgrade and extension projects within the 10–50 kV range. The role focuses on hands-on technical support, documentation, drawing updates, inspections, and quality assurance related to breaker replacements, switchgear retrofits, and relay protection upgrades.
The position is intended for an engineer who already has practical project experience and can handle defined tasks independently, while still working under senior technical supervision.
Technical and design tasks
- Review existing substation documentation, drawings, and cable lists for 10–50 kV installations
- Independently update and revise electrical drawings (e.g. single-line diagrams, circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams) based on project requirements and senior guidance
- Perform red-marking of existing documentation and ensure correct referencing of revised and new drawings
- Update internal wiring, external wiring, and cable lists related to breaker replacements, switchgear retrofits, and new cubicles
- Support relay protection and control interface documentation under supervision
Coordination and communication
- Provide technical input to senior project managers for planning, scheduling, and progress follow-up
- Coordinate technical clarifications with internal colleagues and external stakeholders under senior supervision
- Contribute to structured handling and version control of project documentation
- Work in English in an international setup involving Denmark and the Sweco Design Center
