Advantech is currently looking for an experienced Application Engineer (Automation). This position will be responsible for technical support, solution integration, consulting & pitching to meet the customer needs as well as building training programs for partners & customers.

This role reports to the Presales Manager

Responsibilities of the role:

*Technical Consulting & Solution Design

• Analyze customer requirements and propose suitable products/solutions
• Prepare solution proposals, technical presentations, and pitching materials
• Support demo, POC, and technical clarification with customers

*SI Partnership & Ecosystem Development

• Co-develop go-to-market strategy and joint customer approach
• Provide technical enablement to SI for solution promotion and deployment
• To be main person in charge of designing training yearly tour to partners/SI/customers and also internal training to engineers and sales.
• Company products: remote I/O, gateway, sensor, data acquisition card, Industrial PC…

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Automation, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Automation
• 1- 2 years of experience in Automation
• Understanding of industrial and IoT protocols: OPC, Ethernet/IP, Modbus, MQTT, HTTP...
• Have knowledge of connection methods: Serial, ethernet, Lora, 3G...
• Knowledge of Router, Switch, VPN... is an advantage
• Having experience in training is a big plus
• English OR Chinese communication
