The L&OD Manager leads the organization’s learning, capability building, and organizational development agenda. This role is responsible for identifying business capability needs, designing structured learning and development programs, facilitating practical training sessions, and building a sustainable learning culture that supports business growth and employee performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Learning Strategy & Capability Development
Learning Strategy: Develop and implement the annual learning and organizational development roadmap aligned with business priorities, workforce capability gaps, and leadership expectations.
Capability Framework: Build competency frameworks, learning paths, and development standards for key roles, functions, and leadership levels.
2. Training Program Design, Delivery & Facilitation
Program Design: Design detailed training programs, including training objectives, curriculum structure, session plans, learning materials, exercises, case studies, assessments, and post-training application plans.
Practical Facilitation: Directly deliver classroom and workshop-based training programs with strong facilitation skills, practical examples, group activities, coaching techniques, and the ability to engage learners at different levels.
Program Effectiveness: Evaluate learning outcomes through feedback, knowledge checks, behavioral application, and business impact indicators; continuously improve content and delivery quality.
3. Organizational Development & Talent Growth
Organizational Development: Support organizational development initiatives such as culture building, change management, employee engagement, internal communication, performance improvement, and leadership development.
Talent Development: Coordinate talent review, individual development plans, succession planning, and career development programs to strengthen the internal talent pipeline.
Recruitment Support: Support recruitment activities when needed by providing input on competency requirements and candidate development potential.
Experience: Minimum 6+ years in Learning & Development, Training, Talent Development, or Organizational Development, with at least 2 years in a managerial or program leadership role.
Skills: Strong expertise in training needs analysis, instructional design, adult learning methodology, competency framework development, facilitation, coaching, program evaluation, and learning data reporting.
Mindset: A strategic yet hands-on L&OD professional who can translate business needs into practical learning solutions and confidently stand in front of learners to deliver impactful training.
