Legal Manager

Legal Foundation & Consulting:

• Set up legal framework & policies
• Assess, identify and mitigate legal risks in current & future business activities
• Provide expert legal advice to executives and departments on a wide range of legal and business issues

Regulatory Architecture & Portfolio Compliance Management:

Establish rigorous end-to-end regulatory compliance and risk management frameworks for VIGO’s core portfolio:

• Cosmetics: Managing import/local registration, notification files, claims validation, and marketing/advertising compliance.
• Medical Devices (Class D) & Medical Supplies: Overseeing strict import licensing, market circulation approvals, post-market surveillance, and regulatory audit readiness for high-risk device classifications.

Monitor regulatory changes in Vietnam's healthcare and beauty sectors, translating new laws into proactive business adaptations to protect brand equity and enterprise value.

Digital Legal Transformation, Frameworks & SOP Building:

• Architect and implement digital legal infrastructure (Contract Lifecycle Management - CLM, E-signatures, Automated Compliance Workflows, and Digital Document Repositories) integrated with enterprise systems (ERP/DMS).
• Standardize corporate governance and operational SOPs across contract drafting, regulatory filing, dispute resolution, and vendor/distributor onboarding to enable rapid business scaling.
• Eliminate operational bottlenecks by empowering business teams with self-service legal templates and automated approval matrix guidelines.

Legal Leadership & Internal Team Development:

• Cultivate a Legal Business Partner Mindset: Inspire and shape the working culture of the internal legal team; pivot their focus from being reactive "gatekeepers" to proactive "solution enablers" for commercial teams. 
• Business Enablement & Playbook Development: Architect user-friendly Legal Playbooks & Toolkits tailored for Business Units (Sales, Marketing, R&D). Conduct regular internal training sessions to educate commercial teams on key regulatory boundaries (Cosmetics, Class D Devices, promotional/HCP compliance), enabling BUs to operate with confidence and seamlessly partner with Legal.

Legal Operations:

• Lead legal team to ensure legal compliance, including but not limited to products’ licenses, import & export required procedures, internal & external documents
• Integrate/manage legal agency for assigned legal scopes
• Establish & maintain relationship with legal authorities
• Work with authorities in case of disputes in business
• Handle business licenses

Job Specifications:

Education/Major: University graduation with major of Corporate Law

Language: Good in English

Experience:

• At least 5 years experience as legal manager
• Experience from pharmaceutical/cosmetic industry is preferred; FMCG can be considered; multi-sales-channels business; e-commerce business is a plus

Professional Competency & Industry Knowledge:

• Regulatory Affairs (RA) Expertise: In-depth understanding of regulations on product declaration, advertising, and labeling for cosmetics, dietary supplements, and medical device
• Compliance Management: Ability to establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure all processes from importation, warehousing to marketing are fully compliant
• Dispute Resolution & Intellectual Property Skills: Protect the company’s brand and handle complaints or disputes from customers or competitors

Strategic & Managerial:

• Provide strategic advisory to the Board of Directors
• System building: Possess a process-oriented mindset to digitalize or standardize legal operations, enabling smooth business operations during rapid headcount growth

External Relations Capability:

• Have experience working directly and tactfully with the Ministry of Health, Drug Administration of Vietnam, Vietnam Food Administration, and market surveillance authorities
