I. JOB PURPOSE
The Legal Officer supports the Legal Department in ensuring legal compliance across the company’s business operations. The role focuses on contract review, regulatory compliance, and licensing procedures, particularly related to food product regulations, product declarations, and trademark registration in the F&B / FMCG secto
II. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Contract Review & Legal Support
- Review and verify contracts, appendices, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
- Draft, review, and revise contracts and internal legal documents supporting commercial and operational activities.
- Provide legal support to internal departments during contract negotiation and business transactions. Monitor the contract approval process and ensure proper documentation and archiving.
2. Regulatory Compliance & Licensing
- Support the preparation and submission of company licenses and regulatory dossiers required for business operations.
- Assist in handling sub-licenses and operational permits related to the company’s activities.
- Prepare and follow up on regulatory dossiers related to food products, including:
- Product Self-Declaration Dossiers
- Product Declaration Dossiers
- Other regulatory documents required for food products.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations from authorities such as the
- Department of Health, Food Safety Authorities, and other regulatory bodies.
3. Intellectual Property & Regulatory Monitoring
- Assist in preparing and submitting trademark registration dossiers and follow up with the Intellectual Property Office.
- Monitor updates in relevant laws and regulations affecting the F&B / FMCG industry.
- Maintain and manage legal and regulatory documentation systems.
4. Coordination & Administration
- Liaise with external parties such as law firms, regulatory authorities, and consultants when necessary.
- Support internal compliance initiatives and legal processes.
- Perform other legal-related duties as assigned by the Legal Manager.
