Librarian Teacher/Manager

Library Management & E-Library Systems

• Oversee the daily operations of the school library, including physical and digital collections.
• Curate and maintain an up-to-date e-library system that supports the IB curriculum.
• Train students and staff in the effective use of digital library resources and databases.
• Collaborate with IT and academic departments to ensure seamless access to digital tools. Reading Program Leadership
• Design and implement engaging reading programs in both Vietnamese and English to promote literacy and a love for reading.
• Organize author visits, book fairs, reading challenges, and literary events.
• Support differentiated reading needs across grade levels and language proficiencies.
• Collaborate with language and homeroom teachers to integrate reading into the curriculum. Teaching & Curriculum Support
• Teach research skills, academic honesty, and referencing techniques (APA, MLA, etc.) across the IB continuum.
• Deliver lessons on information literacy, digital citizenship, and source evaluation.
• Support students with Extended Essays, Personal Projects, and other inquiry-based assignments.
• Collaborate with teachers to embed library and research skills into unit plans. Professional Collaboration & Development
• Participate in IB training and school-wide professional development.
• Serve as a resource for teachers in selecting and integrating library materials into instruction.
• Contribute to curriculum planning and interdisciplinary projects

Education & Certification

• ​Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Library Science, Education, or a related field.
• Teaching certification preferred; IB training is a strong advantage

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a school librarian or teacher-librarian, preferably in an IB school.
• Proven experience managing e-library platforms and digital resources.
• Demonstrated success in leading bilingual reading programs and teaching research skills. Skills & Attributes
• Bilingual fluency in Vietnamese and English (spoken and written).
• Strong knowledge of IB philosophy and inquiry-based learning.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
