Logistics Manager (Strong Import & Export)

Job Summary

The Logistics Manager will lead and manage all logistics, import & export, customs clearance, and international shipping activities to support the company’s manufacturing and export operations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring smooth global shipments, compliance with customs regulations, cost optimization, and on-time delivery to overseas customers and project sites.

The role requires strong experience in export-oriented manufacturing environments and international logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities

Import & Export Management

• Lead all import and export activities, including customs clearance, shipping documentation, trade compliance, and coordination with freight forwarders and customs brokers.
• Ensure full compliance with Vietnam customs regulations, international trade laws, and export/import procedures.
• Manage international shipments and monitor export schedules to ensure on-time delivery to customers and project sites.
• Handle HS codes, tariff classifications, certificates of origin (CO), import permits, and other trade-related documentation.
• Monitor import/export costs and identify opportunities for logistics optimization and cost savings.

Logistics & Transportation Management

• Manage inbound and outbound transportation activities for domestic and international shipments.
• Monitor shipment status, resolve transportation issues, and ensure timely communication with stakeholders.
• Support project-based shipment planning and execution when required.
• Ensure proper packing and shipping arrangements in compliance with customer and international transportation requirements.

Team Leadership

• Lead, coach, and develop the Logistics and Import-Export team.
• Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) and continuously improve logistics processes.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and international trade regulations.
• Manage logistics risks related to customs, transportation delays, damaged goods, and delivery schedules.
• Maintain accurate logistics records, shipping reports, and import-export documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or related fields.
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in Logistics and Import & Export operations within manufacturing or export-oriented company.
• Strong experience in export-oriented manufacturing environments and international shipping operations.
• In-depth knowledge of Vietnam customs regulations, international shipping, Incoterms, and trade compliance.
• Experience managing international freight forwarding, ocean/air shipments, and project cargo logistics is preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with large-scale export shipments and project-based logistics operations.
• Experience working with overseas customers and international project teams.
