Maintenance Lead

Job Purpose:

The Maintenance Lead is responsible for the hands-on coordination and execution of all technical maintenance activities to ensure the seamless, safe, and efficient daily operation of the school campus. This role focuses on maintaining the maximum uptime and reliability of all building systems (MEP, HVAC, Fire Fighting) while strictly adhering to international and local Health & Safety (HSE) standards. The primary goal is to provide a high-quality, hazard-free learning environment for students, staff, and visitors through proactive preventive maintenance and rapid response to operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Operations:

- Directly supervise and perform daily inspections of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), HVAC, and Fire Fighting systems.

- Troubleshoot complex technical failures and provide immediate corrective actions to minimize operational downtime.

- Manage the Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedule to ensure all equipment is serviced according to manufacturer standards and local regulations.

2. Project & Construction Support:

- Supervise small-to-medium renovation and repair projects, ensuring contractors adhere to technical specifications.

- Review and modify AutoCAD drawings for any structural or system changes.

- Monitor project timelines to ensure maintenance-related construction is completed on schedule.

3. Safety & Compliance (HSE):

- Enforce strict Health & Safety (HSE) standards across all maintenance activities, particularly in school/educational environments.

- Conduct regular safety audits and ensure all fire safety equipment (PCCC) is fully functional and certified.

4. Team & Vendor Leadership:

- Lead and train a team of in-house technicians, fostering a "Safety First" culture.

- Oversee third-party maintenance vendors, verifying work quality and signing off on completed service reports.

5. Administrative:

- Manage inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies (tools, light bulbs, filters).

- Maintain and update comprehensive maintenance logs, asset registers, and service reports to ensure accurate tracking of equipment lifecycles and historical repairs.

- Undertaking accurate record of daily electricity and water consumption, making weekly and monthly report; then propose action to reduce cost if possible.

Requirements:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering.

- 5-7 years of experience in technical maintenance, with at least 1–2 years in a senior technician role.

- Prior experience in school environments with a strong grasp of Health & Safety standards is preferred.

- Hands-on expertise in MEP, HVAC, and Fire Protection systems.

- Vendor Management: Proven track record in sourcing, negotiating, and supervising third-party contractors.

- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PPT) and technical drawing software, with AutoCAD being mandatory.

- Good office computer skill

- Proven ability to manage end-to-end project timelines and deliver maintenance tasks on schedule
