MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS (MIS) - OFFICER

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will operate the entire internal technology ecosystem at CMI - spanning our ERP system (Global Shop Solutions / SQL Server), web applications supporting manufacturing operations. This is a hands-on technical role, not a coordination position - you will write code, query databases, and ship working products that other departments use daily.

OPERATIONAL CONTEXT - MANUFACTURING WORKFLOW

The MIS Officer must understand the full end-to-end manufacturing flow:

CUSTOMER  →  SALE ORDER  →  WORK ORDER (GSS)  →  BOM/ROUTER  →  APS Re-schedule  →  PURCHASING  →  PRODUCTION LINES  →  WAREHOUSE  →  LOGISTICS  →  SHIPMENT

WHAT YOU'LL DO

•              Build and Maintaince internal web applications (Python/FastAPI backend + HTML/JS frontend) supporting the full manufacturing workflow.

•              Customize the GSS ERP using GAB (Global Application Builder) - develop scripts to extend ERP functionality per department requirements.

•              Write and optimize complex SQL on SQL Server: views, stored procedures, cache tables - covering MRP, BOM, Supply & Demand, and inventory.

•              Document processes - create flow charts, write user guides, and conduct end-user training

•              Support and coach users on advanced Excel, Power Query, and SQL for their day-to-day work

•              Resolve GSS ERP issues - troubleshoot directly or escalate to the GSS Consultant Team (based in Indonesia) to implement fixes or develop new functions.

•              Coordinate with IT Outsource on hardware infrastructure, networking, and server management.

REQUIREMENTS

Must Have

•              SQL Server.

•              Python - scripting, data processing, database connectivity (pyodbc).

•              HTML/CSS/JavaScript - building basic web interfaces.

•              Advanced Excel & Power Query  Proficient.

•              Flow chart creation - translating complex processes for non-technical audiences.

•              Deploying web apps on Windows LAN / File Server environments.

•              Experience in Docker for deployment

Strongly Preferred

•              Experience working in a manufacturing environment - solid understanding of BOM, Work Orders, MRP, Purchase Orders, and APS scheduling.

•              Prior experience using or administering any ERP system (SAP, Odoo, Epicor, GSS...).

•              Have knowledge in accounting or finance - understanding of budgeting, payment terms, cost tracking in a manufacturing context.

Nice to Have

•              FastAPI, Google Apps Script, Python generation.

•              Experience deploying web applications on LAN/intranet environments.
