JOB PURPOSE
Under direct supervision, the Manufacturing Engineer I is an entry level role that assists with implementing, and reviewing manufacturing processes, procedures, and equipment. Supports the manufacture and assembly of new and existing products. Assists in developing improved manufacturing techniques, testing new systems and methods for efficiency, and planning assembly layouts to optimize production, quality, cost, and safety.
MAIN DUTIES
• Solve technical problems in manufacturing processes
• Create and maintain technical data in ERP system : code, router, BOM…
• Update engineering changes in ERP and in technical documents e.g. drawing, WI, PS, ect…
• Assist in design, monitor & validate for manufacturing tools
• Translate into vietnamese the manufacturing documents received from foreign customers
• Follow-up the first build with production team, make FAI report, validation report, control plan, flow chart… to submit to customer for approval.
• Report to Mfg. Engineer Supervisor
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Manufacturing Process Flow - Assists in the planning and design of manufacturing processes to improve the manufacture and assembly of new and existing products. Helps determine equipment, and tooling needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product and quality specifications.
2. Process Improvement - Assists in developing and implementing process improvement projects that focus on manufacturing efficiency, material yield, safety, and cost.
3. Engineering Design Support - Helps senior engineer in tool design according to specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques
4. Regulatory Compliance – Ensure basic processes and procedures comply with regulations. Learns to apply frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques.
5. Remediation - Investigates and makes recommendations for corrective action to ensure product quality, and to resolve quality issues.
6. Performs additional responsibilities as assigned
DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY
Manufacturing Engineer I can propose technical solutions to improve the manufacture of existing products. Mfg. Engineer Supervisor can review the concerned engineering improvement and can approve it if no budget required. In case of budget requirement, Mfg. Engineering Manager need to review it then submit to Finance Lead for approval.
PLANNING AND ORGANISATION
1. Co-ordinating teams: Production, Quality, Project, Planning, Logistic, Purchasing, Import-Export, Maintenance…
2. Planning project: new and existing project with a customer at a certain time (may change to another project with another customer in another time)

Assists senior engineers to determine and develop production processes for manufacturing operations

Prepare BOM for Vietnamese custom clearance
1. Education : University degree in Engineering or equivalent
2. Experience : 1 to 3 years
3. Foreign languages: English is a must. Knowledge of German or French is an advantage.
4. Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers
5. Knowledge of one of engineering drawing software e.g. Solidworks, Catia, Creo, AutoCAD…
