Mechanical Technician

- The Mechanical Technician is responsible for maintenance activities on the process and utilities plant in a safe and efficient manner. This includes CPP & WHP equipment. This position takes responsibility for being aware of cost-effective utilization of gas production and utilities system in compliance with statutory requirements.
- During EPCI execution phase, the Mechanical Technician participates in pre-com and commissioning activities, do preservation for offshore equipment and complete CBTA progress.
- During Operation phase, the Mechanical Technician operates and carry out maintenance activities as directed by the M&R Supervisor on the process and utilities plant, ensure all work is conducted in full compliance with the PQPOC Safety Management System, including platform safety regulations and positively support all safety initiatives and improvements.

HSE Responsibilities:
- Follow and promote all safety regulations and ensure the plan adheres
to the company policies andregulations.
- Complete all HSE CBTA modules as required before operations phase.
- Conversant with the ERP and his role within this plan.
- Actively participate in and promote safety programs.
- Regularly submit HAZARD report for improvement.
- Ensure that the HAZARD actions relating to CPP and WHPs are closed
out as soon as possible.
Pre-Operation Phase:
- Complete mechanical CBTA progress
- Review and recommend two-year operation spares for maintenance
function.
- Participate in pre-commissioning and commissioning equipment,
system. Cooperate with vendors and contractors to ensure all mechanical equipment was installed correctly.
- Do preservation for offshore equipment if required.
Operation Phase:
- Operate and carry out maintenance activities as directed by the M&R
Supervisor on the process and utilities plant in a safe and efficient manner, being aware of cost-effective utilization of gasproduction and utilities system in compliance with statutory requirements.
- Ensure all work is conducted in full compliance with the PQPOC Safety Management System,including platform safety regulations and positively support all safety initiatives and improvements.
- Perform planned, preventative and remedial maintenance on
equipment.
- Perform maintenance tasks including the following:
1. Dismantle, overhaul, reassemble and adjust compressors, cranes,
pumps, valves, and allother auxiliary equipment.
2. Inspect and lubricate all plant equipment routinely and make necessary
adjustments toensure that equipment is operating efficiently.
3. Operation of manual lifting devices to complex rigging standards and
machine tools.
4. Operation and maintenance of HVAC system.
5. Application of protective coatings.
6. Maintains work areas in a clean and orderly manner
- Maintain complete and accurate records within the Computerized
Maintenance ManagementSystem.

- Must be able to work with a multi-cultural workforce.
- Knowledge of process safety and personal safety management processes
and tools.
- Able to work rotational assignments in an offshore environment.
- Ability to learn new equipment, processes and procedures quickly and with
a minimum of outside training or schools. 
- Capable of communication in English.

- Hands on experience within mechanical environment for 1 to 3 years.
- Have good understanding in operation and maintenance of basic equipment
such as centrifugal pumps, compressors, Diesel engines, valves …etc.
- Having good understanding in shaft alignment, good practical skill is
encouraged.
- Good skill or qualification of machining, welding, rigging is an advantage
