Mold Maintenance Engineer (Tooling, Jig, Hydraulics, Compressed air)

1. Job Overview

1.1. Lead the mold team to ensure that all molds are in good condition to satisfy the production requirement.

1.2. Lead the mold team to do inspection, change over, clean, preventive mold plan and repairs existing molds used in the production processes in safety and quickly respond way.

2. Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

2.1. All equipment, tools shall be controlled for preventing loss, missing and un-proper use.

2.2. Follow up all mold activities from Michelin Mold Group (Meeting, report of mold with Mold Group).

2.3. File all preventive maintenance and calibration records properly.

2.4. To ensure safety principle is actually implemented in mold change over, clean and repair activities of Mold Technician.

2.5. Plan, organize, coordinate and check day-to-day mold change over, clean and repair activity with Mold Technician.

2.6. Work with mold team in repairing cracks and holes, removing residue, blemishes, corrosion, and similar defects from inside molds surface.

2.7. Root Cause Failure Analysis and Failure Investigations when mold breakdown and take corrective action.

2.8. Check the mold dimension versus the drawing to make sure it is correct after modified or repaired the mold.

2.9. Monitor the cleaning time, change over time and breakdown frequency in mold process for continuous improvement opportunities and product reliability solutions

2.10. Coordinate with outside vendors regarding big repair for mold, tooling and equipment in mold process.

2.11. Coordinate with Product Development for mold specification for new product.

2.12. Ensure all machines and tools in mold process in good condition and ready to use for mold activities.

2.13. Establish preventative maintenance programs for all molds to ensure good quality and reliability for production.

2.14. Support to skill development of technician

2.15. Develop and maintain molding process documentation.

2.16. Supervise and evaluate the performance of mold team.

2.17. Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

2.18. Having the authorities within the assigned function

2.19. Adhere Company quality systems

2.20. Adhere Company Safety Rules

1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Mechanic only.

2. Three (3) years experience of Mold Maintenance, Tooling, Jig at manufacturing company.

3. Good communication in English.

4. Can use Auto CAD, SolidWorks
