Role Overview:
The Operations Analyst plays a critical role in driving data-driven decision-making across the manufacturing business. This role involves deep analysis of operational performance, identification of inefficiencies, and development of actionable insights to improve productivity and control costs. The analyst partners closely with the Business Head to uncover trends, evaluate process effectiveness, and support strategic initiatives focused on operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Data Analysis:
- Analyze plant-level and enterprise-wide operational data (e.g., production rates, machine utilization, manpower efficiency, downtime, cost per unit).
- Develop dashboards and reports that track key performance indicators (KPIs) across functions.
- Identify patterns and root causes of inefficiencies or cost overruns.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Build and maintain performance tracking models to monitor progress against goals.
- Provide detailed variance analysis for production, cost, and resource utilization.
- Present findings and recommendations to leadership in a clear, actionable manner.
- Cost Control & Efficiency Initiatives:
- Support cost-saving projects by providing insights into material usage, process bottlenecks, and waste reduction.
- Collaborate with production, supply chain, and finance teams to evaluate cost drivers and suggest improvements.
- Quantify the impact of operational initiatives on cost, output, and quality.
- Strategic Planning Support:
- Assist the Business Head in developing data-driven strategies for process improvement
- Conduct scenario analysis and forecasting to support investment or resource allocation decisions.
- Benchmark internal performance with industry standards and best practices.
