Plastic Injection Molding Methods & Process Technician

1. FUNCTION

• Implement new injection processes.
• Optimize current processes.
• Provide expertise and support to the production team.
• Establish reliable processes and controls.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Solve technical and operational problems.
• Lead and conduct the 5S program.
• Contribute to improving safety programs.

2. ROLE / ASSIGNMENTS

2.1: New Projects

• Develop budgets and establish ROI (Return on Investment).
• Verify mold designs.
• Define the injection process.
• Conduct molds and material accreditation.

2.2: Continuous Improvement

• Optimize injection processes.
• Identify tooling improvements.
• Define and implement peripheral equipment improvements.
• Deploy necessary tools for optimization.

2.3: Production Support

• Provide troubleshooting expertise.
• Offer technical support for production issues.
• Train teams on processes and best practices.
• Enhance safety practices.
• Maintain 5S standards.

3. RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

3.1: New Projects

• Manage required investments.
• Ensure mold designs comply with Siamp standards.
• Guarantee a stable and reliable injection process.
• Ensure molds and materials meet the required specifications.

3.2: Continuous Improvement

• Ensure the injection process is optimized for efficiency and quality.
• Maintain reliable tooling.
• Ensure peripheral equipment is dependable.
• Maintain a clean and organized working environment.

3.3: Production Support

• Provide technical support to the production team.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving issues.
• Ensure the team is well-trained in all injection processes.
• Promote and enforce safe working practices.

4. REQUIREMENTS

The candidate must have:

• At least 5 years of experience in plastic injection molding.
• Knowledge of mold design and structure.
• Expertise in plastic materials.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methods and tools (e.g., SMED, Kanban, 5S, etc.).
• Proficiency in English communication.
• Competency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using CAD software
