1. Strategic Sourcing & Procurement:
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard qualified OEM/Contract Manufacturing partners in Vietnam and overseas capable of producing FMCG food products to company specifications.
- Conduct factory visits and capability assessments to evaluate production lines, technical expertise, quality management systems, and food safety certifications (ISO, HACCP, BRC, etc.).
- Lead the RFI/RFP process, bid evaluation, and contract negotiation to secure optimal total cost of ownership (TCO) - including manufacturing fees, MOQ, lead time, tooling/trial costs, and payment terms.
- Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to identify new supply base opportunities and enhance supplier capabilities in line with company quality and food safety standards.
2. NPD & Quality Management:
- Partner with R&D, QA/QC, and Demand Planning teams to translate product formulas and specifications into clear manufacturing requirements for OEM partners.
- Coordinate trial runs, sample approvals, and scale-up from pilot batches to mass production.
- Monitor production schedules at OEM factories to ensure on-time delivery (OTIF) and product quality.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams to conduct factory audits, in-process inspections, and final product quality checks; manage non-conformance and drive corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) with OEM partners.
- Drive operating productivity and cost-saving initiatives (COGS optimization) through supplier competition and process improvement.
3. Supplier Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key local and overseas OEM suppliers to ensure supply continuity and innovation.
- Leverage regional networks to gain market intelligence and develop alternate supply solutions to mitigate risks.
4. Logistics & Import Coordination (for overseas OEM):
- Oversee end-to-end logistics from OEM factory to company warehouse, including international shipping, customs clearance, import documentation (COA, CO, packing list, invoice).
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams to ensure smooth and timely delivery.
5. Compliance & Operations:
- Ensure all procurement activities strictly comply with P2P (Procure-to-Pay) processes, SOPs, and Company policies (including Food Safety, Quality, and EHS regulations).
- Manage procurement KPIs related to cost reduction (COGS), payment terms, OTIF, and supplier performance.
- Lead, coach, and mentor the procurement team to achieve departmental goals.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Food Technology, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in OEM/Contract Manufacturing procurement within Food & Beverage or FMCG industry.
- Proven track record of working with food manufacturing factories (capability assessment, quality management, production monitoring).
- Experience in NPD / commercializing new products through OEM partners is a strong plus.
- Strong negotiation, project management, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Familiarity with import/export, customs clearance, and international logistics.
- Languages: Vietnamese (native), English (professional working proficiency)
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for factory audits and supplier visits.
