Product Development: Manage the creation of new outdoor furniture and garden products with category management and external designers.
Market Research: Stay updated on market trends, customer preferences, and identify opportunities for new products.
Product Development Collaboration: Work with factories to turn product designs into reality and select innovations that meet market demands.
Supplier Management: Negotiate purchasing terms, deliveries, and payments with suppliers while maintaining strong supplier relationships and mitigating risks.
Pricing Strategy: Ensure competitive pricing by considering cost, market trends, and profitability.
Sustainability & Packaging: Collaborate with the Sustainability team to optimize packaging and shipping for sustainability.
Product Assortment Management: Keep product, assortment, and supplier data accurate in IT systems, ensuring the availability of quotes and requests.
Sales and Margin Targets: Ensure the products meet sales and margin goals.
Sourcing Trips: Coordinate and follow up on buying and sourcing trips for both individual and country buyers.
Industry Experience: Proven experience in outdoor furniture, especially in the European DIY market. Sourcing retail products or working within a retailer is a plus.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in product management, sourcing, or procurement.
Education: A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Marketing, or related fields is preferred.
Travel: Willingness to travel within South East Asia as required.
Language Skills: Fluent in English (required).
Communication & Collaboration: Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Capable of working across teams and regions.
Market Knowledge: Familiar with local production markets, EU testing standards, and product compliance.
Project Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines while prioritizing effectively.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments like Category Management and Logistics.
Tech Savvy: Proficient with IT systems and adaptable to new technologies.
Creative & Analytical: Strong creativity to develop new product ideas and analytical skills to assess market data.
