Job purpose:
The Inventory Management Specialist is responsible for monitoring, controlling, and verifying inventory accuracy, with a strong focus on WIP rings and components, to ensure data consistency between MES, SCM systems, and physical stock, and to support reliable production planning and delivery confirmation
Key responsibilities:
* WIP & Inventory Control
· Monitor and manage WIP rings for all part numbers with active Purchase Orders (POs).
· Track inventory levels of components required for production.
· Verify the accuracy of WIP data in MES against the actual physical status on the shop floor.
· Identify, analyze, and report discrepancies between system data and physical inventory.
* Forge Ring Management
· Check and monitor forge ring delivery lead times.
· Analyze and calculate the risk of forge ring shortages that may impact production schedules.
· Coordinate with SCM, Warehouse, and Production teams to update and align forge ring status.
* Data Verification & Cross-Functional Coordination
· Cross-check SCM system data with actual on-hand inventory quantities.
· Ensure inventory data is updated accurately and in a timely manner across systems.
· Support delivery confirmation and production commitment based on reliable inventory data.
* Reporting & Continuous Improvement
· Prepare regular reports on WIP status, inventory levels, and material shortage risks.
· Support internal audits related to inventory and production data.
* Propose improvements to inventory control, WIP tracking, and data management processes.
University graduated (BA decree) Supply Chain/Engineering major.
2-3 years experience or more in planning at manufactory industry.
Expertise in ERP/planning software,
Strong analytical/problem-solving skills,
Knowledge of lean principles to create schedules, manage material flow, track WIP, and ensure on-time delivery by coordinating across teams
