Quality Assurance Specialist (QA Specialist) - Packaging

Summary:

Quality Assurance Specialist control quality at suppliers to make sure OIA delivers good quality packaging to factories. Working with both internal and external stakeholders, you will provide proactive customer service and follow up on any unresolved quality matters in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Weekly random inspection of OIA inner box, MOC, tissue, accessories at suppliers by inspection process and product quality policy to make sure that suppliers are keeping follow up OIA SCM quality control procedure.
• Qualify new product quality in the first mass production.
• Go to factories to inspect physical defective goods when factories claim and make decision to accept the claim or not.
• Make claim form.
• In charge of quality issues to any shipments delivered to footwear factory and warehouse.
• Annual inspect and complete the SHAPE Audit Suppliers Form. Giving any improved suggestion and follow up the improvement from Suppliers
• Make reports: Monthly quality report, supplier’s defective report, Inspection report and update in Teams as assignment.

Education and Experience:

• Good communication in English and Vietnamese.
• Verbal communication and listening skills are especially important.
• Problem-solving skills
• Persuasive, able to handle conflict and pressure.
• Responsiveness. Follow up promptly, solve problems, answer questions, return calls.
• Quality- oriented.
• Report making skill.
• Teamwork
• Well understand packaging's knowledge in both Flexo and Litho printing technology.
• Understand about manufacturing planning, production process, quality control, lab testing, warehouse management, inventory management, transportation, and supplier operations.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Technical, Printing technology or related fields.
• Computer skills: Proficiency with MS Office including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
• At least 3 year- experience in packaging QA, paper packaging is priority.

Physical Requirements:

• The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, particularly luggage while traveling.
