Job Purpose
To research, analyze, and monitor the raw materials market in order to support effective purchasing decisions, optimize input costs, and minimize supply and price fluctuation risks for the Company.
Key Responsibilities
Market Analysis & Reporting
Collect, analyze, and report data on raw material prices, seasonal patterns, production volumes, sourcing regions, and supply availability in Vietnam.
Monitor raw material price movements and assess supply–demand trends affecting input costs.
Track harvest seasons and output across key sourcing regions to support procurement and production planning.
Evaluate the impact of weather conditions, climate change, diseases, and external factors on raw material supply and pricing.
Provide price range recommendations, optimal purchasing timing, and market risk alerts.
Data Management & Internal Processes
Collect, consolidate, and standardize raw materials market data from multiple sources.
Build, update, and manage databases related to raw material prices, seasons, and supply sources.
Develop and improve SOPs and guidelines related to input market analysis.
Prepare weekly and monthly reports for management decision-making.
Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and timely updates in accordance with management requirements.
Comply with company and group policies, procedures, and regulations.
Cross-functional & Stakeholder Support
Provide raw materials market insights and analytical reports to the Board of Management.
Support the Procurement team in market evaluation and supplier negotiation.
Coordinate with Procurement, Production, and Planning teams to align raw material supply with production plans.
Participate in discussions with suppliers and sourcing partners to collect and validate market information when required.
Learning & Development
Participate in training programs organized by the Group.
Contribute to developing training materials and delivering knowledge-sharing sessions for partners or internal teams.
Support capability building and professional development for junior staff (if applicable).
Authority & Accountability
Propose methodologies, regulations, and tools for collecting and analyzing raw materials market data.
Provide market insights and recommendations on purchasing timing, pricing, and supply risks.
Request necessary data and information from related departments to support analysis tasks.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director and Board of Management.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Agriculture, Supply Chain, Statistics, or related fields.
Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
Agricultural sourcing or procurement
Commodity or raw materials market analysis
Supply chain or input materials analysis
Experience in food or agricultural industries is a strong advantage.
Skills & Competencies
Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
Solid understanding of agricultural raw materials markets and seasonal cycles.
Proficient in Excel; Power BI knowledge is an advantage.
Analytical thinking, logical reasoning, and attention to detail.
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Proactive, careful, and able to work under market volatility and pressure.
