Seaonics Mechanical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

      1. System Design and Development:

• Design and develop mechanical systems and components for offshore equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor).
• Ensure all designs are aligned with safety and environmental regulations.

      2. Documentation and Verification:

• Update engineering drawings and documentation as necessary to reflect changes made during the design and fabrication processes.
• Collect and implement as-built revisions to our design based on feedback from production sites.
• Perform as-built verifications to ensure equipment aligns with design specifications and operational requirements.

      3. Technical Support & Collaboration:

• Participate in design reviews and provide technical support during fabrication and installation phases.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams based in Norway and Poland to ensure alignment on design goals and project requirements.

Qualifications:  

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• A Master’s degree is a plus.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in offshore engineering or related industries.
• Preferred skills: Experience with offshore marine structures.

Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor, Vault) and engineering simulation tools.
• Strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes related to offshore equipment.
• Knowledge of industry standards such as DNV, ISO etc.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Strong English communication skills – both verbal and written.
• Preferred skills: Familiarity with JIRA, Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
