A. People & Leadership
- Ensure optimal staffing levels, skills and workforce allocation across plastic, metal and assembly departments.
- Lead and develop supervisors, engineers and team leaders.
- Build a culture of ownership, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Drive performance management, training and succession planning.
B. Health, Safety & Environment
- Ensure all operations comply with Rawlplug EHS standards and local regulations.
- Promote a safety-first mindset and eliminate operational risks.
- Implement workplace improvements in ergonomics and environmental protection.
C. Budget & Cost Control
- Co-develop and execute the production budget.
- Manage cost of manufacturing, department operating expenses and labour efficiency.
- Analyse variances and implement corrective actions.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives (materials, labour, energy, scrap reduction).
D. Operational Management
- Oversee day-to-day performance of plastic injection, assembly and metal production lines.
- Ensure achievement of production KPIs (OEE, scrap, downtime, output, productivity).
- Maintain process discipline and execution of production plans.
- Implement process improvements and introduce technological updates.
E. Quality & Customer Focus
- Ensure adherence to quality standards in cooperation with Quality departments.
- Support audits, root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Maintain material, semi-finished and finished goods availability to meet customer demand.
- Lead quick response to operational disruptions and crisis situations.
F. Investments & Projects
- Approve resource requirements for production (people, equipment, tools, technology).
- Support new product development (NPD) and introduction of new technologies.
- Lead or co-lead investment and modernisation projects (scope, timeline, budget).
- Collaborate with B&R, Engineering and suppliers on implementation of new machinery.
G. Lean & Continuous Improvement
- Promote and implement Lean tools: 5S, Kaizen, SMED, TPM, Standard Work.
- Reduce waste, improve material flow, increase machine utilisation.
- Lead improvement workshops and support problem-solving initiatives.
H. Inventory, Logistics & Material Flow
- Monitor raw material and semi-finished stock levels.
- Cooperate closely with Logistics to secure uninterrupted production flow.
- Ensure proper scheduling, traceability and FIFO discipline.
I. Other Responsibilities
- Contribution to ISO 9001 Quality and Environmental Management Systems.
- Participation in internal and external audits.
- Fulfil additional tasks assigned by the Managing Director / Production Director.
