Senior Training Specialist

Main Role: Lead and drive training and capability development programs across manufacturing operations to enhance productivity, quality, and workforce capability, while ensuring alignment with business goals and operational excellence standards.

Key Responsibilities

Training Strategy & Planning

• Develop and implement annual training plans aligned with production, quality, and business objectives
• Identify skill gaps across operators, supervisors, and managers through TNA (Training Needs Analysis)
• Design structured training roadmaps for different workforce segments (operators, line leaders, middle management)

Program Design & Delivery

• Design and deliver training programs in:
  • Technical skills (e.g., sewing skills, machine operation, QA/QC standards)
  • Supervisory & leadership capabilities
  • Process and system training (e.g., ERP, SOPs)
• Develop standardized training materials, SOP-based modules, and on-the-job training (OJT) frameworks
• Ensure training content is practical, easy to apply, and production floor-oriented

Capability Development & Systems

• Build and manage skill matrices and competency frameworks for production roles
• Lead certification programs for operators and technical roles
• Standardize onboarding and skill-up training processes
• Integrate training with performance management and productivity KPIs

Training Effectiveness & Improvement

• Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness
• Ensure training outcomes are applied in daily operations
• Continuously improve training programs based on feedback and performance data

Stakeholder Management

• Partner with Production, QA, IE, and HR teams to align training initiatives
• Coach and support line managers in developing their teams
• Manage internal trainers and build a strong trainer pool

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree
• Must have 3–5+ years of experience in training/L&D within manufacturing (preferably garment industry)
• Proven experience in designing and delivering technical training programs

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (sewing, QA/QC, production flow)
• Experience in skill matrix, TWI, OJT, or competency frameworks
• Good facilitation, coaching, and communication skills
• Data-driven mindset with ability to measure training impact
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills

5. Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement
• Familiarity with ERP systems in manufacturing
• Experience working in large-scale factories (500+ employees)
