This role leverages an engineering background and technical expertise to evaluate specifications, identify capable suppliers, optimize purchasing costs, negotiate commercial conditions, and ensure reliable supply to support production and business operations.
The position works closely withother departments to translate technical requirements into effective sourcing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end sourcing and purchasing activities for machining parts, production parts, machinery, equipment, spare parts, tooling, and technical services.
Review technical requirements, drawings, specifications, BOMs, and other relevant documents to ensure sourcing requirements are clearly defined.
Source and evaluate suppliers based ontechnical capability, quality, capacity, cost competitiveness, delivery performance, and service capability.
Request and evaluate supplier quotations, ensuring alignment with technical specifications and commercial requirements.
Conduct technical and commercial comparisons and provide sourcing recommendations based on cost, quality, delivery, technical capability, and supplier reliability.
Execute purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery according to requirements.
Search for, identify, and evaluate potential suppliers capable of meeting the company's technical and commercial requirements.
Conduct supplier assessments and support supplier qualification activities in cooperation with relevant departments.
Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and continuously improve their cost, quality, delivery, and service performance.
Monitor supplier performance and coordinate corrective actions when issues related to quality, delivery, cost, or service occur.
Negotiate prices, lead times, delivery schedules, payment terms, warranties, and other commercial conditions with suppliers.
Analyze supplier quotations and identify opportunities for cost reduction, cost avoidance, and purchasing optimization.
Prepare price comparisons and negotiation summaries to support sourcing decisions.
Handle daily purchasing requests and ensure required materials, tooling, spare parts, equipment, and services are available to support uninterrupted operations.
Follow up on order status, delivery schedules, and supplier commitments.
Proactively identify potential supply risks and take appropriate actions to prevent production or operational disruptions.
Work closely with other departments to understand technical requirements and define appropriate sourcing specifications.
Support internal departments in identifying technically suitable suppliers and alternative sourcing solutions.
Clarify technical requirements with suppliers and coordinate technical discussions when necessary.
Participate in sourcing activities for new projects, equipment, tooling, process improvements, and engineering changes.
Provide technical input to purchasing decisions and ensure selected suppliers can meet the required specifications and application needs.
Yêu Cầu Công Việc
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field.
3+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, purchasing, or supplier development in manufacturing environment.
Strong experience in technical sourcing and purchasing is preferred.
Solid understanding of engineering drawings, technical specifications, materials, manufacturing processes, and machining is highly preferred.
Experience in supplier development, quotation evaluation, cost analysis, and commercial negotiation.
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and suppliers.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a cost-conscious mindset.
Good negotiation, communication, coordination, and supplier management skills.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple sourcing activities simultaneously.
Good command of English for communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Proficiency in MS Office; experience with SAP/ERP systems is an advantage.
