Sỹ quan điện – Electrical Officer (ETO)

Job Purpose:

The Electrical Officer (ETO) is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of all electrical, electronic, and automation systems on board the offshore vessel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair main and auxiliary electrical systems including generators, switchboards, lighting, navigational equipment, etc.
• Operate and monitor control systems, motors, cranes, winches, and other deck machinery.
• Maintain electrical systems for ROVs and Dynamic Positioning (DP) systems if equipped.
• Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of electrical and automation systems.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of electrical equipment in collaboration with the Engine and Deck departments.
• Maintain records of equipment performance and maintenance.
• Train crew members on electrical safety and emergency procedures if required.

• Certificate: ETO Certificate of Competency (STCW III/6) or equivalent.
• Experience: At least 3 years as ETO on offshore support vessels or similar.
• Good understanding of industrial electrical systems, automation, and marine electronics.
• Strong technical English and knowledge of international safety standards.
