Mô tả Công việc

Role Description

The Tax Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring full compliance with Vietnam tax regulations, focusing on VAT (Value Added Tax), CIT (Corporate Income Tax), and WHT (Withholding Tax). A critical part of this role is managing the VAT Refund process for export activities to optimize the company’s tax position.

Reporting and Tax

VAT & Export Compliance:

  • Prepare and file monthly VAT returns accurately and timely (Including reconciling data with accounting records).
  • Take full responsibility for the VAT Refund process: Prepare documentation, reconcile export declarations (Customs data) with accounting records, and track refund status.
  • Monitor input VAT for raw materials (fabrics, accessories) to ensure validity for deduction and refund.

CIT & WHT Management:

  • Calculate and prepare quarterly CIT provisional payments.
  • Review and assess inventory, accounts receivable, and accounts payable, and make appropriate provisions where necessary.
  • Prepare annual CIT Finalization, ensuring non-deductible expenses (production scrap, over-norm wastage, etc.) are correctly identified.
  • Manage Foreign Contractor Tax (WHT) for overseas services, royalty fees, or imported machinery technical support.

Tax Audit & Representation:

  • Prepare data and supporting documents for Tax Audits and Inspections.
  • Directly explain tax figures and provide justifications to Tax Authorities (Tax Department of HCMC or local districts).

Advisory & Risk Control:

  • Responsible for recording tools and equipment, prepaid expenses, and fixed assets, and ensuring proper allocation and depreciation in accordance with tax regulations.
  • Update the management on new tax circulars (e.g., Decree 123 on E-invoices, new VAT laws).
  • Conduct internal reviews of invoices and contracts to mitigate tax risks.

Reporting

  • On time and meaningful reports submission.
  • Ensure compliance with Vietnam Accounting Standards (VAS) and tax regulations.

Tax

  • Ensure VAT returns are accurate and aligned with accounting records.
  • Complete VAT refund/year with the expected amount.
  • Ensure that all VAT invoices which are received and kept in track are complied with tax regulation.
  • Review and Optimize Tax (VAT, CIT, WHT, PIT).

Yêu Cầu Công Việc

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/ Finance/ Auditing.
  • ACCA/ CPA and Chief Accountant Certificate is a plus.
  • Experience: 3 – 5 years of experience in Tax Accounting, preferably in Garment/Textile Manufacturing or Export-oriented companies.

Expertise:

  • Strong knowledge of Vietnam Tax Laws (VAT, CIT, WHT, Invoices).
  • Hands-on experience in successful VAT Refund (2023 - 2025) cycles for exporters.
  • Familiarity with Customs declarations is a plus.

Technical Skills: Proficient in ERP systems (Misa) and advanced Excel.
