Value Engineer (work at Cu Chi)

JOB SUMMARY

Handle Value Engineering activities for handheld power tools in collaboration with cross-bordered and cross-functional teams.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Work according to policies and procedures set by CPT.
2. Follow up on value engineering projects from ideation to implementation in mass production.
3. Work with multiple teams (quality, lab, supplier…) to test, evaluate, and validate new VE components.
4. Facilitate project flow, including regular contact with other functional team members.
5. Keep track of the project schedule and ensure the adherence to milestones; keep management informed on project issues.
6. Interact with suppliers to develop part/product specifications that meet performance requirements and ensure on-time delivery.
7. Involved in failure analysis activities, work with engineering, SQE, and suppliers for solutions/improvements, and follow up on the implementation.
8. Update engineering documents, including CAD drawings, BOM, ECO, SER, etc. and follow up for review and release.
9. Provide support to ad hoc tasks as assigned by management.

This position will be based in Cu Chi Factory, HCMC. Shuttle bus from District 1, 10,11,12, Tan Binh, Hoc Mon, Thu Duc/Binh Duong/Dong Nai is available.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Engineering degree in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, or related fields.
2. At least 2 years of relevant experience in engineering or manufacturing.
3. Familiar with the product evaluation and validation process.
4. Knowledge of PCBA manufacturing and diagnosis is a plus.
5. Knowledge of motor manufacturing and diagnosis is a plus.
6. Good at GD&T, 2D and 3D CAD (NX, ProE).
7. Familiar with product safety approval such as HSF, RoHS.
8. Good computer skills, familiar with ERP (SAP, Oracle) and PLM (Teamcenter).

12. Good English communication, verbal and written.
13. Able to communicate in Mandarin is a strong plus.
14. Good communication, listening and interpersonal skills.
15. Able to work under pressure, self-initiative, team-player.
