Mô tả Công việc

Position Summary

  • The Operations Team Leader is responsible for ensuring the performance of the operations team under his/her supervision in accordance with MSC’s operational procedures and standards
  • The role manages the team’s day‑to‑day execution, coordinates with internal and external partners to support cargo handling requirements, and drives accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across all operational activities.

Responsibilities

1. Planning, Coordination & Operational Execution

  • Sending Forecast on partner’s vessels to control allocation onboard
  • Updating forecast cargo and block codes by vessel every day to the terminal
  • Making export loading lists for partner’s services and sending them to terminals and relevant parties
  • Preparing loading lists for non‑2M vessels calling SSIT and supporting the control of closing time at ICDs and terminals
  • Checking customs systems and terminal systems for container loading.
  • Following and updating VGM to the loading list.
  • Terminal & Cargo Operations
  • Monitoring cargoes and assisting the Customer Department to load as much as possible when MSC vessels are berthed.
  • Coordinating with CY controllers at terminals to solve problems related to export cargoes.
  • Checking and arranging unexpectedly discharged cargoes at VUT and connecting them to the correct vessel to the destination.
  • Communicating important data to Sales and Customer Service teams to support coordination with customers.
  • Overseeing the service quality.
  • Monitoring transit cargo from Cambodia, Japan, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia and other countries.

2. Team Leadership, Process Optimization & Compliance

  • Lead and assign tasks within the team to meet the required deadlines and KPIs.
  • Improve work processes to enhance accuracy, reduce manual tasks, and maintain flexibility.
  • Coach and develop team members to ensure performance and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure team adherence to operational procedures, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards.

3. Other Assignments: Perform other tasks and projects as assigned by management.

Key Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position.

  • Good at English (written and spoken).
  • Strong people management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Customer-oriented with a proactive and solution-driven mindset.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
