Senior Merchandiser

1. Job Purpose
- To lead and manage customer projects from development to production, ensuring alignment on product requirements, timelines, cost, and quality standards.
2. Key Responsibilities
Customer & Project Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring clear communication and strong relationship management
- Analyze customer requirements, including technical documents, samples, and product expectations
- Lead project timelines from development to bulk production, ensuring on-time delivery
- Provide proactive updates to customers and internal stakeholders on project status
- Manage and align expectations between customers, suppliers, and internal teams
Development & Sample Management
- Oversee sample development process, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timeline compliance
- Collaborate closely with technical, pattern, and production teams to support development activities
- Lead material sourcing and approval processes (fabric, trims, and accessories)
- Ensure all samples meet customer standards before submission
Production & Quality Coordination
- Monitor production readiness and ensure all requirements are clearly transferred from development stage
- Work with QA/QC and production teams to maintain product quality standards
- Proactively identify risks and resolve issues related to product development and production
Costing & Commercial Control
- Manage costing processes, including price negotiation and margin control
- Monitor order quantities (MOQ), cost breakdown, and overall project profitability
- Support commercial decisions with data and analysis
Leadership & Coordination
- Guide and support junior merchandisers in project execution
- Ensure effective cross-functional collaboration across departments
- Drive continuous improvement in processes and communication
Administration & Reporting
- Maintain accurate documentation of all project details, approvals, and communications
- Prepare reports on project progress, risks, and performance
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Manager

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Garment/Textile, Supply Chain, Business, or related fields
• Minimum 5 years of experience in merchandising, sourcing, or supply chain (preferably in denim industry)

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of fabric and trims sourcing, costing, and supply chain processes
• Good understanding of garment production and material planning
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and coordination skills

Technical Skills

• Experience with systems such as WFX, IP, CMPT, Retraced, Delfie is a strong advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Language

• Good command of English
