Job overview:
The BIM Senior Specialist is responsible for leading the internal design systems and contributing to the development and implementation of the BIM strategy for our in-house brand design team. With a strong architectural and technical background, this role will manage complex documentation systems across multiple hospitality environments, both domestically and internationally.
This position will also establish and maintain Revit templates, coordinate documentation workflows, and support both internal designers and external consultants in delivering high-quality, coordinated documentation across all project stages - from concept to construction.
Accountabilities:
1. BIM Standards and Implementation
· Develop, implement, and manage company-wide BIM standards and Revit templates for all store formats, and maintain a knowledge base of BIM best practices and troubleshooting guides to support their effective use.
· Build and maintain a flexible Revit family library (FF&E, joinery, signage, and fixtures) tailored for brand scalability.
· Participate in early-stage planning, site surveys, and existing condition modeling where required.
· Document and communicate BIM standards and best practices to the design team.
· Oversee cloud-based collaboration systems (e.g., BIM 360, Aconex) for internal and external documentation coordination.
· Collaborate with IT and design leadership on hardware/software procurement and system upgrades.
· Coordinate with external consultants and suppliers to align deliverables, resolve clashes, and avoid site issues.
· Consolidate and project a mid-term rolling forecast for the demand of required modeling resources based on the Project Pipeline and review sessions with the Project Management team.
· Conduct post-project reviews to identify areas for improvement in BIM workflows and documentation.
· Stay up to date on the latest BIM software updates and industry trends.
2. Training & Quality Assurance
· Support the design team with hands-on setup, training, and guidance to ensure consistent documentation quality.
· Lead internal training on BIM software, workflows, and documentation QA/QC procedures.
· Conduct regular model health checks, audits, and issue resolution across projects, ensuring compliance with the established workflow scheme and quality processes.
· Provide technical insight and solutions during tight deadlines and design iterations.
· Regularly monitor and evaluate KPIs related to modeling output, speed, and quality to establish a baseline for effective performance management and provide team members with relevant feedback.
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Building Surveying, or equivalent field.
· 05+ years in a BIM management or Revit role, preferably in architecture, interior design, or hospitality/retail fit outs.
· Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining BIM libraries and workflows.
· Experience working on hospitality, F&B, or multi-site rollout projects is preferred.
· Advanced proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Enscape (or equivalent rendering), and Adobe Suite.
· Experience with cloud-based BIM collaboration (e.g., BIM 360, Aconex, Procore).
· Strong knowledge of international standards.
· Familiarity with point cloud modeling, VR walkthroughs, and parametric family creation is preferred.
· Knowledge of internal brand design systems and rollout strategy is a plus.
· Confident in technical coordination, clash detection, and construction detailing.
· Excellent time management and interpersonal communication skills.
· Problem-solving abilities.
· Ability to detect, manage and resolve BIM-related technical and project management risks.
· Comfortable training staff and liaising with software vendors, IT consultants, and site teams.
· Strong English language skills.
