The position purpose is to help driving overall data strategy & innovation and lead the division in formulating new methodologies in harnessing data to drive business outcomes.
1. Serve as de-facto relationship manager and interfaces (account manager) between data and business units in driving their respective strategic data roadmaps.
• Work directly with the Head, Data Strategy and Innovation to drive the application of data management, governance, analytics and machine learning across the bank’s operations.
• Lead and coordinate strategic project across departments of division related to data platform/data products
• Drive and coordinate the design of curriculum and programs to train and develop the technical and soft skills required of data, cloud and analytics professionals in the division and across the group.
• Develop initiatives, including the coordination of workshops, forums, hackathons to engage group-wide business and support units on the effective use of data and analytics.
• Develop community of data and analytics professionals in the division and across the group, including the coordination of forums, summits and hackathons to build a collective culture of knowledge sharing, camaraderie and innovation.
2. Conduct research and acquire new knowledge for driving data innovation
• Conduct research on modern methods for designing data solutions
• Proactively analyze existing data and identify new data sources to support more impactful analyses
3. Partner business units and other centers/departments on data strategy and innovation
• Working with other centers/departments in EDA as well as Business Units to understand business problems so as to support them in better utilizing data and analytics
• Support other centers/departments in providing guidance on data strategy and innovations
• Training other EDA team members
