This position reports to Ethical Marketing Head.

The New Product Development Manager - Ethical is responsible for develop NPD strategy and build Ethical product pipeline for UIP. This person collaborates with cross-functional team to drive Ethical NPD projects and ensure the successful launch. Ethical NPD Manager need to maintains, and updates the new product development process.

  • Creates and manages the new product development pipeline portfolio, to ensure successive annual roll-outs of value-added profitable products, to achieve 5-year plan growth targets.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to drive the NPD process to bring new products to market.
  • Identifies marketing opportunities by analyzing and defining the total market, market share, competitor market share, and available market share by product market.
  • Provides leadership and support by initiating research to identify consumer needs; develop new products to meet consumer needs; research consumer acceptance of products; and lead status meetings to drive programs or new product initiatives to market. Periodically presents project updates to the leadership team.
  • Develop, maintain and update new product development to ensure a group of new concepts or products is available to be introduced and commercialized on an annual basis, include Ideation Capture, Funnel to Focus, NPD Stage Management, Performance Evaluation.
  • Responsible for Performance Evaluation Analysis, activities to include: Post launch ROI validation – sales and cost performance validation, Customer/Market feedback, Champion identified improvements, Ensure key learnings and best practice are documented and shared institutionally, Implement improvements in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Champion the identification, development and analysis of the project justification for capital projects related to cost savings, product improvements and new production capabilities tied to new product introductions.
  • Review and update NPD SOP base one the need of business.

Professional Background

  • 5-10 year experience in Pharmaceutical market.
  • Pharmacist background.

  • Strategic and visionary thinker with strong analytical, problem solving, decision making, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Good in sighting skills is a must. Must also have the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal skill to develop NPD strategy and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive NPD projects
  • Can interpret syndicated market data and research, and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Capable of working independently and staying organized while assuming multiple responsibilities and tasks.
  • Must be results oriented, must possess the political will to get things done.
  • Detail oriented and strong project management skills to ensure all marketing projects get done.
  • Objectivity in decision making, setting goals and delegating responsibilities.
  • Requires strong written and oral communication skills, planning and organization skills, and strong analytical abilities
  • Able to motivate, problem solve, deal with ambiguity and effectively prioritize business needs.
  • Focus, agile with strong financial and entrepreneurial frame of mind.
  • Computer literate and knowledgeable on windows-based software.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
