The NPD Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for managing and coordinating new projects with all related departments. They will work closely with the Commodity Team and NPD Team to collect critical information from suppliers in order to select which suppliers will manufacture each component for all of their assigned projects. They will facilitate communication between suppliers and the rest of the Product Management Team to ensure all new projects are launched on schedule and on cost.
- Coordinate all purchasing activities, such as RFQ, supplier audits, supplier selection, sampling, etc.
- Source new suppliers for cost saving and quality improvement purposes
- Manage suppliers to ensure they have the capacity to meet our company’s manufacturing needs while producing a high-quality product at a competitive price
- Negotiating with suppliers on price, delivery schedule, etc.
- Follow up on SPMP, CpK, samples, and HSF reports for SER release
- Conduct CBOM analysis and cost tracker report - Work closely with engineers in the development stages of new projects and help find new resources for projects
- Be involved, understand, and report all project issues with action plans on how to resolve the issues
- Regularly use SAP system to manage projects
