I. RANGE OF DUTIES:

1. General position description

Senior equipment project engineer principle task is to create/ensure proper planning and supervision over the implementation of equipment engineering projects for new Sonion product development and for external customers in accordance with the applicable procedure in Sonion Business System (SBS). Assure timely delivery of fully functional equipment according to project plan.

Carry on with described duties is ensuring good cooperation and collaboration between team members from other disciplines.

Specific activities:

• Planning the scope of the project, defining the resources needed for its implementation.
• Scheduling project tasks.
• Determining the possibility of using the right technology in the project.
• Participating in determining the validation criteria before the machine / device is finally commissioned.
• Supervising the preparation of design and technical documentation, obtaining the "entry" documentation and cooperation in this area with other departments of the Sonion Company.
• Supervising the development of machine/ device operating instructions for production and maintenance.
• Estimating technological and time risk for implemented projects.
• Reporting progress and monitoring risks in relation to implemented projects.
• Suggesting solutions in case of risk of project failure.
• Initiating business trips for the effective implementation of projects (for his own and the project team).
• Contacting with internal and external clients (at the request of the superior within a given project).
• Communicating and cooperating with all company departments and their employees depending on the needs of the project. Cooperating with other facilities of Sonion.
• Following the plan schedule and informing supervisor/manager about potential risks which may affect to project.
• Performing in assessment of the risk for new developments – technical, cost and timing
• Ability to train new equipment project engineer.
• Support and guiding equipment engineering project engineer to drive projects success according to project plans.
• Specify for new product development/innovation/improvement/cost reduction projects
• Execution tasks which assigned by direct supervisor/manager.

2. Authorities

• Be entitled to host external matter experts/suppliers at the company.
• Access to company's IT systems via the Internet.
• Escalate issues /problem to supervisor if/when required.

3. Communicates with

• Overall project engineers/managers in VN/PH/PL.
• Project team member.
• Equipment engineering team and production engineering team in VN/PH/PL.
• Production manager/ Maintenance/QA
• Equipment suppliers.

Education:

• Required: University degree, Technical, engineering, mechanics
• Preferable: Master’s degree

2. Professional knowledge of:

•  Technical and engineering knowledge (in the field of machine construction, technology, production engineering)
•  Production management and organization
•  Budgeting and scheduling projects
•  Knowledge of the project and human resources management methodology
•  Design of experiments (preferred Six Sigma)
• Process development

3. Knowledge of computer servicing:

Microsoft Office, Dynamics. AutoCAD (basic), MS project, Solid works skill will be an advantage.

4. Knowledge of foreign languages:

• Can communicate technical issue with foreign colleagues.
• English: 550 TOEIC score as minimum. Higher score is an advantage

6. Professional experience:

• Mandatory: At least 2 year as equipment project engineer within Sonion or at least 3 years in a similar positions of project management.
• Prefered: 4 years’ experience in Project Management in a technical working area at international company.
