- Assist in preparing tax returns, including CIT, FCT, VAT, TP documentation, etc., within agreed timescales, ensuring efficient and risk-managed compliance.
- Provide support for tax audits and inspections conducted by local tax authorities.
- Assist in preparing the tax accounting reports such as deferred tax calculation, tax risk registration, etc.
- Be in charge of preparation for some tax reconciliation reports such as Tax Balance Sheet accounts reconciliation, VAT and CIT revenue reconciliation, etc. to support the manager in identifying systematic tax issues to ensure sufficient tax declaration.
- Assist in carrying out tax projects to improve benefits/ minimize tax risks where required.
- Keep up to date with changing tax laws, and analyze the implications; Support the update of tax regulations and proposes changes if necessary.
- Liaise with tax authorities for tax related matters (such as profit remittance, tax payment reconciliation, tax payment confirmation, etc.).
- Support the preparation and drafting of official letters and other documents related to tax issues, ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with applicable tax laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Conduct in-depth and well-supported technical research on tax matters.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential tax implications and develop effective strategies for compliance.
- Provide advice to the Sales & Marketing team on rebates, sales and promotion schemes regarding tax issues, advice to Customer Services for invoice related issues, proactively resolve tax-related issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
Bachelor degree, major in accounting, finance, law or taxation and at least 3 years experiences gained in various in-house tax roles or experience gained in (big 4) consultancy firms.
