Job Description

  • Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations.
  • Prepare and cook traditional Japanese dishes, including sushi, sashimi, ramen, and other specialties.
  • Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Participate in menu development and recipe creation.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management.
  • Stay updated on Japanese culinary trends and techniques.

Job Requirement

  • Culinary diploma or relevant experience in a Japanese kitchen is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Japanese cooking techniques and ingredients.
  • Passion for Japanese cuisine and eagerness to learn.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills and teamwork spirit.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Fluency in English is a plus; knowledge of Cantonese is advantageous.
