Help teachers to plan, assess, record and evaluate learning and identify and address PYP professional development needs.
Support and mentor new teachers.
Provide professional learning feedback for teachers.
Provide opportunities for teachers to observe one another in practice, through looking for Learning protocols
Support teachers through classroom visits.
Lead collaborative planning across the school.
Work closely together the PYP, MYP related initiatives and projects, for example, Technology, Integration, Early Childhood developments, transition from G5 to G6.
Coordinate Literature, Math, Science, Social Studies and across the Primary School
Carry out personnel management for the PYP teaching staff such as: assigning and arranging work schedules (including teaching work and administrative work if any) (including regular and ad hoc schedules), implementing professional meetings, observing classes, implementing performance evaluation according to the Company's regulations, monitoring and evaluating compliance with the Company's regulations (working hours, uniforms, work attitude...).
2. Communication:
Set up systems for communication and collaboration among all staff members involved in building and implementing the programme.
Conduct parent information sessions.
Publish articles pertaining to the programme in the school newsletter.
Circulate all relevant information received from the IBO.
Prepare and submit any documentation required for authorisation and evaluation.
Ensure that all requirements of the IBO concerning the implementation of the programmes are adhered to.
Respond to requests for information (for example, questionnaires) from the IBO.
Provide a liaison between the school, IBO and CIS
Provide outreach to the wider PYP community through CIS discussion forums, e-mail and school visits
3. Professional Development:
Ensure that staff members are made aware of professional development opportunities.
Make recommendations regarding professional development opportunities on and off campus.
Keep a record of workshop attendance and school visits to ensure equality of opportunity and identify ongoing needs.
Assist teams or individuals in developing units of inquiry.
Support the teachers responsible for, and the students involved in, the PYP exhibition in the final year of the programme
4. Curriculum:
Maintain and regularly updated and develop all curriculums of all grade of primary.
Provide guidance for staff in understanding PYP Scope and Sequence documents.
Ensure that staff understand how to effectively use the PYP unit planner.
Ensure that Managebac is used effectively by all staff to support curriculum development and mapping and that curriculum documentation is both visible and current.
Liaise with the Head of Primary School regarding PYP curriculum issues.
Submit annual Improvement Plans for the IB PYP Programme and oversee the review of the ICS PYP ‘Programme of Inquiry’ on an 3-yearly basis, and submit report to the Head of School
5. Documentation and Resource Management:
Keep copies of all correspondence with the IB, including forms, documents and reports.
Assist the Head of School in determining main curriculum resources and facility needs for professional development; and in placing resource orders.
Ensure that teachers keep planning for the PYP up to date.
In advance, notify the accounts department of IB payments.
Ensure that all requirements and procedures set by the IB concerning the programme are adhered to.
Publish the school’s programme of inquiry.
Lead the process of developing or reviewing the school’s scope and sequence documents
6. Marketing the school:
Actively market the school at every opportunity
Meet with new parents, when requested, to market the unique features of Tesla School.
Create publicity materials for dissemination to the school community and for wider marketing
Contribute to the development of digital resources such as blogs, web-based information.
Lead parent and stakeholder information workshops
Collabt with Admission & Marketing Department to contribute to the school’s marketing goals
7. Responsibilities:
Teach classes in the Primary School following to the school regulation and as directed by the Head of School.
The expectation for teaching with this position includes shared classroom responsibilities for all aspects of the class: planning, preparation, assessment, instruction.
The teaching standard periods per week for this positon is 10.
8. Other professional responsibilities:
To supervise PYP Exhibition, Project Based Learning, as required.
To provide cover for classes when a staff member is absent
To be responsible for the duties related to recess, lunch, arrival, departure, bus monitoring, etc.
To participate in school trips and events when required.
To participate in collaborative planning meetings including departmental meetings faculty, daily, and other meetings.
To support school events such as open days, recruitment events, etc.
Collabrate with HR to recruit suitable candidates for PYP team.
9. Other Professional Requirements:
Have a working knowledge of teachers' professional duties as regulation;
Take account of wider curriculum developments and requirements within the relevant IB programme;
Maintain an up to date knowledge of good practice in teaching techniques and seek to engage in professional conversation.
Inspire trust and confidence in pupils and colleagues;
Model and implement the School Code of Conduct in a consistent, firm and non-confrontational manner and contribute to the development and / or implementation of school policies, and whole school annual objectives;
Promote the wider aspirations and values of the school to parents and students both current and prospective;
Any other reasonable request by The Head of School.

Previous leadership experience in a Primary school.
