· Develop a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
· Prepare action plans.
· Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets
· Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans
· Provides timely feedback to department head / management regarding development
· Creates and conducts proposal presentations and RFP responses
· Supports Sales team in preparation of proposals and presentations
· Initiate dialogue with key decision makers (middle level managers) on products and draft a trade development strategy (both short & long term)
· Proactively seek out new business opportunities at the same time identify opportunities for growth within the existing business
· Develop client base by lead sharing and market intelligence
· Support Sales team for active selling of products in the assigned trade lane.
· Arrange face to face meeting with key decision makers at the client’s side.
· Complete an in-depth needs analysis for the client and identify areas of the business where value added service can be provided to optimize the organization’s supply chain and logistics functions.
· Close the sale and assist in the implementation process linking in with operations, cus- tomer service and senior management teams.
· Ensure personal and team sales targets and KPIs are met.
· Sell within approved minimum limit of margin
· Work closely with the trade lanes partners in overseas.
· Analyze the trends of Customers in terms of volume and budget performance that is af- fecting the trade lane.
· Responsible to report the highlights and low lights of Trade Lane to Direct line Manager.
Targets:
· Monitoring and Achieving agreed financial and individual country Trade Lane budget in terms of Volume and Profitability target
Qualification Standards:
· Business degree or related professional qualification
· Strong communication and presentation skills with excellent English proficiency
· Should have at least 2-3 years of hardcore field sales experience with reputed freight.
· Experience in selling freight forwarding services in one or more of the markets in the US, EU, Intra Asia.
· Knowledge of freight forwarding services both Air & Sea / Import & Export.
· Market search skills & proven experience in customer relationship management.
