1. Financial planning and analysis: 20%
· Act as a business partner and support the management team in business decisions;
· Collaborate with senior management to set financial goals, objectives and budgets in line with overall business objectives;
· Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports in accordance with regulatory requirements, both VAS and IFRS standards;
Prepare and structure finance functions to be ready for IPO and future listing;
Establish and maintain good relationships with banks, lenders, investors and strategic partners.
2. Project financing: 30%
Conduct credit assessments of buyers;
Structuring the financial terms of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and Direct Power Purchase Agreements (DPPAs) with potential buyers;
Develop detailed financial models for renewable energy projects, including cash flow forecasts, NPV, IRR and ROI analysis; and present the final results to the Management Team for investment decisions;
Identify CAPEX plans and funding needs for debt/equity financing for each project;
Establish processes for project budgets & control and accountability for all cost management activities in projects;
Build close relationships and continuous communication flow with all project stakeholders to ensure project funding targets and timelines are met;
Responsible for optimizing the financial returns of renewable energy projects.
3. M&A and Capital Raising: 30%
Work closely with the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) to evaluate and advise on potential mergers and acquisitions and other strategic opportunities;
Support the CIO in due diligence processes, including financial modeling, financial analysis, deal structuring, capital raising including equity financing, debt financing;
Identify deal breakers early to make the best use of the company’s time, people and financial resources.
4. Tax and Compliance: 10%
· Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations;
· Coordinate with external tax advisors and authorities as needed.
5. Team Leadership and Development: 10%
· Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability;
· Provide guidance and professional development opportunities, training for finance staff;
· Attract and recruit top talent in the industry to join.
At least 6+ years of experience in finance leadership roles;
· Proven broad financial background (investment, trading, valuation, capital markets, control, financing) in senior positions;
· Experience in a project-oriented environment will be a major advantage;
· Proven track record of successfully participating in and completing capital markets financing and M&A transactions;
· Proven leadership, confidence and ability to motivate staff;
· Exceptional communication skills, resilient and highly motivated, with an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to work with international stakeholders.
Demonstrated track record of successful mergers, acquisitions, investments, financing (M&A) transactions
Fluent communication and negotiation skills in English
Ability to work under pressure and travel frequently
