Key responsibilities
• Implement and streamline purchase processes.
• Managing the procure-to-pay process, including requisitioning, purchasing, receiving,
invoicing, and paying for goods and services.
• Evaluating and strategic sourcing of potential suppliers inclusive of assess their capabilities
and evaluate their suitability based on predefined criteria.
• Negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favourable pricing, payment terms
and mutually beneficial agreements.
• Ensuring the timeliness and effectiveness of goods and services.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and develop purchase
plans accordingly.
• Monitoring inventory levels, demand forecasts and consumption patterns to optimise stock
levels and reduce carrying costs.
• Monitoring supplier performance for optimal business operations performance
• Continuously evaluate and improve procurement practices, including identifying cost-saving
opportunities and process enhancements.
• Manage supplier relationships, including regular communication, performance evaluations and
issue resolution.
• Conducting market research and analysis to stay updated on industry trends, supplier
capabilities and pricing fluctuations
• Prepare and present reports on purchase activities, performance metrics and cost savings to
higher management.
• Stay updated on regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with applicable laws and
regulations related to sourcing activities.
• Ad-hoc assign by Finance Director.
Hard Skills:
• 5+ years of experience in the post of purchasing manager in Manufacturing FDIs, and
knowledge of Engineering.
• University degree in Business administration, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Knowledge of local laws of tax and contract.
• Good command of computer skill: Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet …
• Good English in writing and communication.
• Strong skills in budgeting, cost optimization and negotiation techniques.
Soft Skills:
• An analytical mind with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in using procurement software and systems.
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management abilities
