1. Operations
- Develop and implement short-term and long-term strategies and plans for Ocean Freight team to improve service quality.
- Work collaboratively with other departments, to ensure that Ocean freight strategies align with overall business goals
- Monitor the Ocean import/export cargoes to ensure smoothly operations and compliance with regulation, providing guidance and support to achieve work efficiency and productivityns
- Find, negotiate and select appropriate sub-contractors, service providers, shipping lines, oversea agents... to get best competitive rates and good services to match with customers' requirements; then appoint, follow up and control service providers during shipments handling process
- Support and coordinate with Sales/Cus/Doc Department to resolve related issues.
- Conduct market research: Conducting market research to stay informed of the competition, industry trends, and customer needs, which will help make informed pricin decisions.
- Expand company's networks through out alliance, conference, and marketing activities
- Maintain and develop relationships with shipping lines, airlines, coloaders.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and feedback to customers in professional manner.
2. Internal management
- Support, participate in the recruitment process for Ocean team
- Develope goals and KPIs
- Develop training programs, direct training to ensure the quality of team members, evaluate employee performance periodically.
- Build and develop Pricing and Customer Service process. Implement periodical evaluation the processes and continuously improve innovation.
- Supervise the activities of team members, speed up the progress, quality and capacity of team members.
