I. Automation Project Management

• Attend improvement meetings, work with Operations Team to develop action plans for new automated and semi-automated equipment.
• Create project communication channels in collaboration with Product Engineering, Process Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Quality, Supervision and floor operators.
• Develop and maintain Gantt Charts, Project Schedules, Risk Assessments and Contingency Plans.
• Make formal presentations to management on project status.

II. Factory Automation and Technology Development

• Ability to conduct research, development and deployment of new manufacturing technologies, Robotics or IoT platforms and capital equipment to improve current throughput, reduce scrap/rework, reduce costs, improve quality, reliability and visibility.
• Ability to build simulations, realistic prototypes to validate feasibility as well as estimate time/cost to manufacture and test proposed manufacturing processes.
• Coordinate with EHS and relevant departments to evaluate technical, safety, or calibration requirements, installation parameters for implementation, and have records of machinery and equipment information.
• Ability to use CAD, Creo, solidworks to design automated equipment, integrated systems (for Automation Hardware and Mechanical Design - Mechatronic Engineering).
• And/or ability to use PLC, computer-based languages ​​and mobile-based languages ​​to program automated equipment and integrated systems (for Automation Software and Electrical Design-Mechatronic Engineering).
• Support continuous improvement projects in Gamba, Visual Management, OEE, etc.

III. Analyze automation design and continuous improvement:

• Have a systematic as well as creative approach to problem solving process.
• Provide multiple hypothetical scenarios to find the best total cost solution.
• Demonstrate vision and foresight to test processes and build robust risk assessment analysis matrices to ensure project success.

IV. Maintenance

• Participate in equipment maintenance, draft SOP, Create BOM for equipment management.
• Participate in maintenance and repair of machinery failures and provide appropriate preventive measures.
• Ensure compliance and implementation of regulations on labor safety, fire prevention and legal regulations.

V. Other tasks

• Education: Graduated from University/College majoring in: Electricity - Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, Control Engineering, or related majors.
• Foreign language: English language (Chinese, cantonese, or other) are nice to have is preferred
• Years of Experience: 1-3 years experience in automation field 
  • Proficient in some popular PLC lines such as Siemens (S7-1200, S7-1500), Mitsubishi (FX, Q series), Omron, Allen Bradley.
  • Knowledge of PID, motor control, industrial communication networks (Modbus, Profibus, EtherNet/IP...).
  • Proficient in CAD design software, Creo or solidwork equivalent 3D design software
  • Understand sensors (optical, thermal, ultrasonic, proximity), servo motors, inverters, control valves...
